In the process of cultivating grapes, it is important to provide it with protection against diseases and pests. To reduce the number of chemical treatments, growers have adapted to the use of fungicides, insecticides and stimulants. Grape mixtures provide reliable protection against insects and infections at the same time.

Advantages of tank mixes
Mixed in one solution, preparations for the treatment of grapes were called tank mix. They contain:
- insecticides - chemical compounds designed to combat insect pests,
- fungicides - chemicals that inhibit pathogenic fungal infections and fungal spores on plants and soil,
- herbicides are chemical compounds that inhibit the growth of weeds.
The composition of processing cocktails includes mineral fertilizing complexes and biological preparations with a stimulating effect.
When using fungicidal and insecticidal chemical compounds in the composition of multi-component solutions, their concentration decreases, which favorably affects the ecology of the grown grape crop.
Due to its rich composition, mixtures for grape processing allow you to effectively and quickly fight pests and infections, while helping to absorb nutrients from the soil, thereby ensuring the growth and development of the vine, accelerating the onset of the flowering and fruiting stage.
They are not a means that meets the need of a grape culture in organic and mineral fertilizing complexes and do not replace top dressing.
Cooking principles
When mixing chemicals, it is necessary to observe their compatibility and the sequence of addition, since some of them, upon contact, cause a chemical reaction, leading to separation of the solution and the formation of flocs or precipitation.
It is not recommended to take more than 3 components for the preparation of a multicomponent solution. Optimal and safe for the plant will be one in which there are no more than 2 pesticides and 1 stimulant.
Not to be mixed:
- preparations containing sulfur and boron together with oily formulations,
- alkalis and phosphorus-containing products,
- magnesium-iron together with calcium,
- pesticides with fertilizer complexes containing boron, zinc, magnesium and iron,
- Bordeaux liquid with other components, with the exception of a solution of Bordeaux liquid with colloidal sulfur.
Instead of adding laundry soap for better wettability and adhesion of the solution to the foliage, it is recommended to mix baby soap or shampoo with neutral pH-acidity in solutions for treating grapevine.
It is important to mix the drugs correctly
For the preparation of solutions from chemical preparations, a galvanized and metal container is not suitable, since dishes, when chemical compounds enter, cause an oxidative reaction, making the tank mixture for processing grapes useless.
The sequence of preparation and mixing of preparations:
- initially the tank is filled with water 1/3,
- add water-soluble granular substances using an electric mixer or continuously stirring the mixture by hand,
- add water and mix in a wettable powder,
- water-dispersible granular preparations such as "Lintur" and "Ridomil" are poured,
- add water and mix in the suspension concentrates,
- concentrated emulsions such as "Topik Super" and "Gezagard" are introduced,
- after the next addition of water, water solutions such as "Touchdown" and "Widmaster" are poured.
When preparing, insecticidal preparations are taken in the amount of 0.5 doses provided for in the instructions for the preparation.
Processing order
Tank mixtures are used immediately after their preparation. They begin to process the vineyard in the spring, repeat the procedure 3-4 times per season. Processing is carried out in dry and calm weather. Before mass use, it is recommended to process the vine as an approbation, using the prepared solution on 1 plant or grape branch, observing the condition for at least 2 days after treatment.
The main method of use is fine spraying.
The interval of application of various solutions is at least 7 days. Multicomponent solutions are not subject to storage, since chemical reactions are possible under the influence of temperature rise, access to oxygen, exposure to sunlight. After use, the remaining tank solution is disposed of by burying it in a dug hole.

Conclusion
Tank mixtures are an effective method of processing simultaneously against insect pests and infections with the ability to strengthen the immunity of grapes, stimulate its growth and development. When preparing, consider the compatibility of the chemicals and combine them in the prescribed sequence. All preparations, with the exception of Bordeaux liquid, are permissible for mixing subject to restrictions. It is recommended to process grapes in dry, calm weather.
